…WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 7 AM
EST TUESDAY ABOVE 3500 FEET…

WHAT…Heavy snow expected above 3500 feet. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 10 inches, locally higher above 4500 feet.
Lower elevations will receive less than 3 inches. Winds gusting
as high as 45 to 50 mph will create blowing snow and reduced
visibilities.

WHERE…In Virginia, Grayson County. In North Carolina, Ashe
and Watauga Counties.

WHEN…From midnight tonight to 7 AM EST Tuesday.

IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Some power
outages may occur.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Blowing snow is going to reduce
visibilities. Wind chills could drop to the single digits and
teens Monday night.
