…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 4 AM EDT
MONDAY…

  • WHAT…West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
    expected.
  • WHERE…The foothills of Virginia west to the mountains of
    southwest Virginia and northwest North Carolina, and the
    Greenbrier Valley.
  • WHEN…From 1 PM this afternoon to 4 AM EDT Monday.
  • IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree
    limbs and weaker trees could be blown down and a few power
    outages may result.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A few gusts over 60 mph will be possible at
    elevations above 3500 feet, especially across the North Carolina
    mountains and Alleghanys of Virginia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
