WCSO Seeking Information In Missing Person Case – Aaron Coffey

UPDATE Sunday, May 19 8:06m – The Sheriff's Office is reporting that Mr. Coffey has been found. 

According to Sheriff Len Hagaman:

“After an intense physical search and following up on hundreds of leads; by the Watauga County Sheriff's Office and the Office of Emergency Management, Mr. Aaron Coffey has been found safe.

The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all local law enforcement, first responders, local media, family, and the citizens of Watauga County for their assistance in this successful outcome in locating Mr. Coffey.

Part of the successful outcome was that over 22,000 reached out on Facebook regarding this search for Mr. Coffey.

This is the largest number of outreach responses to our Facebook, to date. Thank you all !!”

 


 

The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Aaron Coffey. Coffey is considered missing at this time.

According to a Watauga County Sheriff's Office report, Coffey had not shown up for work and or returned any phone calls since Friday of last week. A roommate said he had not been home and the dogs were left inside all weekend. He is entered missing along with his blue 2001 Saturn. Deputies attempted to locate Coffey on Wednesday night but were unable to have any luck.
