9am – Roads in town on 105 from Ingles-ish in good shape. Upper Poplar Grove good, but slow too
8:44am – from facebook – Just came from Lenoir via 321. Roads are passable but are super slicking starting at Shoppes on the Parkway
Reports between 8:15am-8:30am:
421 from vilas to town has 2 tire tracks with some pavement visible – blowing snow can cause mini-white outs. Take it easy
105 from Linville is drivable. just plan for the usual extra time
Fleetwood to Boone…not too bad for a 4×4
105 up rock crusher hill…ok but drive slow and steady
Just came in from West Jefferson to Boone….221 is fine…..but 421 is covered….slow is best
321 from Blowing Rock at the Parkway bridge to Boone is covered and slushy. Not impassable, but slippery for sure. Lots of folks are pushing their limits, though, so it won't be long until somebody wrecks.
