Sheriff’s Department Responds To Double Stabbing On Friday In Zionville

The Watauga County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a double stabbing on Friday.

Deputies located one of the victims, with serious injuries, laying on a porch at 157 Meadow Valley Lane in the Zionville community. The victim was allegedly stabbed with a knife about 7 or 8 times in the neck, chest, and lower back according to Watauga County Sheriff Len Hagaman.

The suspect, Visnu Fernandez, called 911 a short time after Deputies arrived, claiming to have been stabbed as well. Deputies made entry to 222 Silver Meadows Lane, which is where the altercation allegedly took place.

The Sheriff's report goes on to say that, Fernandez was located and had a small cut of his face. He was treated by Medics and taken to the Watauga Medical Center ER and released. Fernandez was released from the ER and placed under arrest for Assault with Deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He is currently under a $75,000 bond.

The victim was flown to Johnson City Medical Center. The condition of the victim, whose name has not been released, is reported to be stable according to Sheriff Hagman. The Watauga County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations responded and processed the scene.
