Motorist should plan ahead and expect delays on two local roads in mid September.
Road construction, including asphalt milling and resurfacing, will take place beginning Monday, September 12, 2016 on Deerfield Road from Blowing Rock Road to State Farm Road and on Queen Street from N. Depot Street to N. Water Street. That section of Queen Street will be closed entirely.
Construction will take place on both roads between the hours of 7:00pm to 5:00am and is expected to be completed by Friday, September 16, 2016 weather dependent.
