This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.

.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon
and evening. Damaging wind gusts and possibly hail will be the main
hazards with any severe thunderstorms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

On Monday there is once again a marginal risk for severe
thunderstorms. Large hail, damaging wind gusts, frequent
cloud-to-ground lightning, and locally heavy rainfall will be the
main hazards with any severe thunderstorms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening,
but is more likely Monday. Reports should be submitted
via phone by calling 1-866-215-4324, through our social media
platforms, by email at rnk.skywarn@noaa.gov, or online through our
“submit a storm report” located at www.weather.gov/rnk.
