This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,
northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.

.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.

Dry and breezy conditions this afternoon could lead to increased
fire danger across the region. Fire Danger Statements are in effect
from noon today through 6pm this evening in coordination with state
forestry services.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Saturday through Thursday.

A cold front moving through the region will bring light rain to the
area late Saturday changing to light snow Saturday night into Sunday
morning as colder air spreads into the region. Light snow
accumulations are expected across much of the area with slightly
higher amounts possible along the Blue Ridge.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
