This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,
central Virginia, south central Virginia, southwest Virginia, west
central Virginia and southeast West Virginia.
.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.
Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and
evening may produce moderate to heavy rainfall, which could cause
localized areas of flash flooding. Areas along and north of a Boone,
NC, to Lynchburg, VA line have a higher potential for flash flooding
due to recent rains.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Saturday through Thursday.
Thunderstorms are expected each afternoon and evening through mid
week. These storms may pose a damaging wind and flooding threat.
