The United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded multiple earthquakes in the southwestern part of the state on Saturday night. Of the four quakes, three measured 2.2 magnitude and was centered south of Cherokee, North Carolina. The first quake was recorded at 8:13pm and the last at 12:45am.
