A section of Highway 321 just below the Watauga/Caldwell line was closed for a time on Thursday morning.
The southbound lanes were opened back up around 8 am after a small rockslide. An NCDOT crew used heavy equipment to remove the rocks and clear the area, according to NCDOT.
