Less Humid & Cooler Conditions To End The Weekend & Start The Week

Last Updated on June 24, 2017 8:21 pm

After several days of humid and muggy conditions, cooler and less humid will be the weather story to end the weekend and start the week.

Friday and Saturday recorded the most muggy conditions of the year so far, with dew points in the mid 60's to low 70's and humidity levels between 70 to near 100%. That will give way to low temperatures running about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal Sunday night-Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Mid 40's to around 50 are the forecast lows, with high temperatures around mid 60's to around 70 which NWS adds would be 5 to 15 degrees below normal.

In a Saturday evening weather briefing NWS says, “it will be a little warmer Wednesday with mid 70s. Dewpoints will still be in the 50s, with some 40s mountains but Thursday will see moisture increase with highs bumping up another 5 degrees with upper 70s/lower 80s. These warmer temperatures which are close to normal for the end of June will stick around into July 1st, but the humidity will be more noticeable as well.”
