BOONE, N.C. — The kickoff times and accompanying network designations for five App State football games this fall, including the first four of the 2024 season, were announced Thursday.
The Mountaineers' season-opening home game against ETSU on Aug. 31 will begin at 3:30 p.m. and be shown on ESPN+. The next two dates on the schedule are nationally televised, nonconference road games in the Carolinas, as the Sept. 7 visit to Clemson will be an 8 p.m. contest on the ACC Network and the Sept. 14 trip to East Carolina will be a 4 p.m. contest on ESPNU.
App State will then open Sun Belt Conference play with a Thursday night home game against South Alabama on Sept. 19. That game will be on ESPN at 7:30 p.m.
Another midweek Sun Belt game, the Thursday night appearance at Coastal Carolina on Nov. 7, will be held at 8 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2.
The Mountaineers will be playing at Clemson for the first time since 2015, when they faced the Tigers at 12:30 p.m. in mid-September, and the first time at ECU since 2012, when they had a noon kickoff in a season-opening game against the Pirates. The 2009 opener in Greenville was also at noon.
App State is moving forward from a nine-win season that included a Sun Belt East Division title and Cure Bowl victory under the direction of head coach Shawn Clark in 2023.
Fans will soon have the opportunity to purchase App State single-game tickets for 2024 home games, while supplies last. All five FBS teams traveling to Boone made bowl appearances a year ago, including Liberty playing in the Fiesta Bowl as the highest-rated Group of Five conference champion in 2023.
Single-game tickets will be offered in the timeline below, as seat inventory remains. Details for single-game ticket prices and road game ticket availability will be communicated later this summer.
Current Yosef Club members and season ticket holders in good standing will have the option to purchase single-game tickets before sales open to the general public on July 8 (10 a.m. ET at appstatesports.com/tickets) – as tickets remain after each grouping. Those tickets can be purchased online or by calling the ticket office at 828-262-7733 on their assigned date. All current Yosef Club members will receive a one-time, limited-use promo code, with instructions, via email during the week of June 10. Due to a high call volume for single-game sales, purchasing tickets online with the assigned promo code is recommended.
