Construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with lane closures for both northbound and southbound lanes from Tanger Outlets to Blowing Rock Furniture Galleries. AS PART OF THE NORTHBOUND LANE CLOSURE, LEFT TURNS AT THE BLOWING ROCK ABC STORE WILL BE PROHIBITED!! This lane closure is necessary in order for median curb work to be completed in this area. Various other construction operations will continue as well, including traffic signal loop work, sidewalk preparation and installation, and rock wall enhancements. CURB CREWS WILL ALSO BE WORKING IN THE DRIVES AT UNITED COMMUNITY BANK. MOTORISTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SLOW DOWN AND REMAIN ALERT WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH THESE AREAS OF THE PROJECT! Flagging operations may also be utilized south of Green Park Inn to assist construction vehicles entering/exiting the work site in that area. MOTORISTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SLOW DOWN AND REMAIN ALERT WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH THIS AREA OF THE PROJECT AS WELL!!

Wednesday July 27
Continue to allow extra time traveling south on Blowing Rock Road due to the new intersection construction project.
4:14pm – Stuck tractor & trailor on Dewitt Barnett Road bridge.
Wreck in blind curve on Poplar Grove Road. 1200 block. Expect lengthy delay.
Bank washed out in the 1800 block of Broadstone Road blocking one lane of traffic.
Thursday July 28
Flagging and lane closures on 321 in Blowing Rock from south of Green Park Inn to Possum Hollow Rd. Call 828 964 3260 for project info.
3:26pm – Expect detours around the 3900 block Peoria Road due to a structure fire. Power lines are down across the road as well.
Friday July 29
Construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with lane closures for northbound traffic from Sunset Dr to Tanger Outlets. This lane closure is necessary in order for various construction operations to continue including traffic signal loop work, sidewalk preparation and installation, and rock wall enhancements.
Continued slow going on 321/Blowing Rock Road due to new intersection construction at the Post Office. Allow extra travel time.
