HB2 Protest Causing Traffic Problems In Boone

Protest on the Appalachian State campus are causing travel issues around Boone this afternoon. A portion of King Street, from Hardin Street to Waters Street, is closed  and police are setting up barricades at “Greasy Corner”.

1pm King Street is back open per scanner.

As of 1:53pm there have not been any more impacts to travel, as the protesters moved back to campus property just before 1pm. More updates posted as may be needed.
