Boone Police Department along with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office will be at the Pet Place located at Shops at Shadowline in support of a fundraiser for local law enforcement K-9’s this Saturday June 25, 2016.

Law enforcement K-9’s play a vital role in our communities by providing services for members of the community.  They help with the detection of illegal narcotics and substances.  They assist in the apprehension of fugitives and provide assistance with locating missing persons, such as lost children and the elderly.  Along with keeping our communities safe, K-9’s are used to help educate our local schools, businesses, and community groups.

K-9’s along with their handlers will be at the Pet Place in support of this fundraiser.  Come out and meet K-9’s Simba and Elvis and their handlers, Officer Petey Hausley and Deputy Rick Ruppert to support our local K-9’s on Saturday, June 25, 2016, between 10am and 2pm.
