…FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING…

  • WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
    possible.
  • WHERE…Portions of North Carolina, including the following
    counties, Caswell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes and
    Yadkin and Virginia, including the following counties, Halifax,
    Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania.
  • WHEN…Through Friday morning.
  • IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks,
    streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
  • Thunderstorms along a stalled front are expected to result in
    repeat heavy rainfall through this tonight. Additional heavy
    rain is possible with the remnants of tropical storm Arthur
    late tonight and early Friday.
