Construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with flagging/lane closures from just south of Green Park Inn to Cone Orchard Ln for storm drain work. Motorists are encouraged to remain alert for the most recent temporary traffic shift/new traffic pattern recently activated from just south of Cone Orchard Ln to Blackberry Rd.
Tuesday February 7
No construction project travel impacts currently scheduled on 321 in Blowing Rock today.
Thursday February 9
6am – No major travel issues reported at this time, but conditions are changing with sleet and snow falling. Be aware of changing conditions.
6:55am – Wreck on 105 bypass due to slick roads according to scanner. Expect delays.
7:03am – 105 bypass on 421 side is closed for now to allow wreck clean up.
7:36am – 321 near Green Park Inn is closed due to numerous wrecks.
7:45am – 105 bypass is back open.
9:15am – numerous slick roads are being reported via social media. If travel is required then caution is advised.

12:30pm – Roads have improved since this morning. Could be some surprise slick spots on secondary roads, but by and large it’s much better.
