Flagging operations are currently scheduled on 321 in Blowing Rock just north of Rocky Knob Rd and on West Cornish Str. Delays are expected to be minimal; however, motorists are encouraged to SLOW DOWN and STAY ALERT and watch for construction crews and equipment working in and alongside the roadway in these areas
Tuesday December 8
Flagging operations are currently scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock just north of Rocky Knob Rd, and on West Cornish Str. Delays are expected to be minimal
Wednesday December 9
8:07am – expect delays on 421 near Hilltop Drive Inn due to multi vehicle wreck.
No flagging operations are currently scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock; however, motorists will encounter slow moving operations throughout the entire project as crews will be onsite today re-striping the existing centerline and edgeline pavement markings.
Additionally, several construction operations that will impact traffic are scheduled along the CLOSED future southbound lanes of the project. These operations include paving in Woodlands BBQ driveways, paving in the Holiday Inn parking lot and concrete driveway construction at Union Community Bank as well as the former Blowing Rock Market. While access to theses locations will remain available, motorists are encouraged to SLOW DOWN and STAY ALERT for construction crews and equipment working in these areas!! Morning delays are expected to be minimal; however, conflicts between construction operations and motorists attempting to gain access to these areas will increase as work progresses into the lunch hour and throughout the remainder of the day. This work may also result in delays on 321.
9:10am – One lane is still blocked on 421 at Hilltop Drive Inn due to wreck in the 8am hour.
