Post-holiday construction operations were originally scheduled to resume today on 321 in Blowing Rock but with a rainy forecast on tap, wet ground conditions from recent rains and areas of reduced visibility due to fog, limited construction operations and no flagging are currently scheduled instead.
Tuesday December 29
Construction operations on 321 in Blowing Rock continue to be limited today due to recent rainy weather and wet ground conditions; however, with clearing weather conditions on tap, concrete driveway apron work at Foggy Rock is scheduled to proceed. Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal but motorists are encouraged to remain alert to construction crews and equipment working in this area.
Wednesday December 30
No traffic impacts are currently scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock. SUNSET DRIVE IS SCHEDULED TO BE CLOSED THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2015 between Ransom Street and US 321 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm for curb & gutter work. Crews will be onsite to assist motorists. Access to all homes & businesses will be available during this work; however, no thru traffic from the downtown area will be allowed to travel beyond Ransom Street. Motorists attempting to enter Sunset Dr from US 321 will be diverted as well.
