Crime Stoppers seeks information in Breaking and Entering and Theft from a motor vehicle at Chetola

High Country Crime Stoppers and the Blowing Rock Police Department seek the public’s assistance in identifying the following suspect(s):

On Thursday, December 12th, 2023, between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm, a Breaking and Entering and Theft from a motor vehicle occurred at Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC. The white male in the photos can be seen taking a salt spreader controller and wiring harness from a Chetola work truck. The male was driving a dark grey Ford F-250, four door pickup with a black toolbox in the back. The truck has a magnetic CB antenna on top of the cab and auxiliary lights mounted at the base of the windshield. Blowing Rock Police are trying to identify the suspect in this case. 

Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 828-268-6959 or Officer Harris at the Blowing Rock Police Department at 828-295-5210. You may also submit a Crime Stoppers Tip via Text to “NCTIP plus your tip” to 274637 (CRIMES). All information will be kept confidential.

High Country Crime Stoppers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization operated by a volunteer community board of directors serving Avery and Watauga Counties. High Country Crime Stoppers encourages the reporting of information or leads which can assist law enforcement with solving crimes. Its goal is to help in the fight against crime, but it is not part of the local police departments or sheriff's offices. Each County has a law enforcement coordinator who participates as an advisor to the board but is a non-voting member. The citizen's board is responsible for operations of the program, fund raising, public relations, and approval of rewards.
