Crime Stoppers seeks help with wallet larceny from Boone Dollar General

High Country Crime Stoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

On August 28, 2020, a wallet was stolen from Dollar General, located at 140 Forest Hills Dr. The victim was in Dollar General when he set his wallet on the counter, next to the card scanner, while paying for his groceries. The victim then left Dollar General, leaving his wallet behind. A several minutes later, the suspect approaches the checkout and pays for his merchandise. As the suspect leaves, the clerk points out the wallet on the counter. The suspect then checks his pocket, turns back and takes the victim's wallet.
The suspect is a white male, approximately 45 years of age, medium build, with short white hair.
