Boone Town Council Housing Retreat meeting to take place Monday

Boone, NC –A special meeting of the Boone Town Council will be held on Monday, February 5,
2024 at 9 a.m. at Council Chambers located at 1500 Blowing Rock Road, Boone, NC 28607.

The purpose of the meeting will be to continue discussion on housing solutions within the Town
of Boone, specifically related to land-use planning. The agenda for the day will be guided by the
following items:
9 a.m.: approximately 90 minutes will be reserved for public comment and presentations
by invited stakeholder organizations.
10:30 am: approximately 90 minutes will be reserved for any other public comment
related to workforce housing.
Following a brief lunch break, Town Council will enter into a work session for discussion
between Town Council and Staff to discuss comprehensive housing strategies and
solutions related to land-use planning.

welcomes all public comment and would like for participants to know that the public comment
periods noted above are designed to inform the Council on the public’s thoughts before they
move into their afternoon work session. We ask that participants not anticipate any immediate
response or action based upon any given public comment. The Town will endeavor to respond to
any specific concerns that need immediate attention as appropriate.
