The Boone Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying the driver of a pickup truck after a man was ejected from the vehicle's bed and seriously injured near Perkinsville Drive and Grove Street.
Officers responded at approximately 11:57 p.m. on April 11 after receiving a report of an injured individual who had fallen from the bed of a moving pickup truck. The vehicle was reported to be traveling in a careless and reckless manner when the male was ejected. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The department is actively working to determine the circumstances of the incident, including the identity of the driver. The vehicle is described as a dark-colored, four-door Dodge Ram pickup truck with a custom lift, distinctive white lighting underneath the wheel wells, and black wheels.
