A Boone cake decorator has been recognized for four decades of service with Food Lion.
Mariette Lisk was among more than 400 Food Lion associates celebrated April 30 during the company's annual Service Awards ceremony in Salisbury, the company announced Monday. Honorees this year are marking 30, 35, 40, and 45 years of service — collectively representing more than 14,000 years on the job.
Food Lion said the 2026 class is a record number of associates reaching milestone anniversaries with the company.
“I am incredibly proud to celebrate these associates and the remarkable commitment they've shown throughout their careers,” Food Lion President Greg Finchum said in a statement. “Every day, our associates strengthen the emotional connection we have with our neighbors in the towns and cities we serve. Because of them, customers choose Food Lion to nourish their families.”
Food Lion employs more than 82,000 associates across more than 1,100 stores in 10 states. The company is headquartered in Salisbury, North Carolina.
