BOONE, N.C. — A Boone family will appear as contestants on a national television game show Monday night when Haley and Chris Walton and their daughter Peyton compete on “The 1% Club” on FOX.
The episode airs Monday, April 27 at 8 p.m. Eastern on FOX, hosted by Joel McHale.
The family filmed the episode in December. “The 1% Club” features 100 contestants who answer a series of increasingly difficult logic and reasoning questions, working toward a final question that only 1 percent of the population can answer correctly — with the chance to win up to $100,000.
Haley Walton said the family's appearance started with their daughter. “Our kiddo applied to a TV gameshow, and then she said you and dad should apply too!”
A public watch party is planned at fizzEd Boone beginning at 8 p.m. Monday. Attendees will have a chance to vote on who they think makes it the furthest and play along for prizes. All are welcome.
