Boone Council Schedules Special Meeting to Inspect Parks — Action Possible

Last Updated on May 12, 2026 10:41 am

The Boone Town Council will hold a special meeting Friday, May 15, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at North Street Park.

The purpose of the meeting is to allow council members to tour five town-owned properties with staff: North Street Park, Rivers Park, Jaycee Park, Daniel Boone Park, and the Bolick Farm. The council may take action regarding the properties and park facilities following the tours.

The special meeting was called under authority granted by North Carolina General Statute 160A-71(b)(1), which allows governing boards to convene outside their regular meeting schedule.

The Boone Town Council meets regularly on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Agenda packets are available through the town's meeting portal.
