AppHealthCare Expands Access to Behavioral Health Services Across the High Country

AppHealthCare is offering behavioral health services across Alleghany, Ashe and Watauga counties through integrated care, outpatient therapy and telehealth, the agency announced this week.

Recognizing that mental health is an essential part of overall health, AppHealthCare's Behavioral Health program offers personalized care for those experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), sleep difficulties, perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns, and challenges related to chronic illness or major life transitions.

“Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our communities has access to high-quality behavioral healthcare when they need it,” said Marisa Schorr, chief behavioral health officer for AppHealthCare. “Whether someone is navigating a difficult season of life or managing an ongoing mental health condition, our team is here to provide compassionate, evidence-based support that promotes healing and overall well-being.”

AppHealthCare offers behavioral health services in several ways to meet the unique needs of patients, providing both in-person and telehealth appointments.

The AppHealthCare Behavioral Health program is supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A total of $591,213, or 61%, of the program is financed with federal funds, and $371,305, or 39%, is funded by other sources.
