can enter the stadium starting at 1:15 p.m. Fans arriving early to their
seats for Game 1 will be able to watch a condensed videoboard replay of
App State's historic upset win against Michigan from 2007.
The replay is part of a weekend celebration for hall of fame coach Jerry

recognized during football alumni reunion festivities before Saturday's
game and also be a featured guest at the 2019 App State Athletics Hall
of Fame breakfast Saturday morning.

ENTERING KIDD BREWER STADIUM
With construction taking place where the West Gate plaza has been located, fans are encouraged to arrive early with the stadium gates opening two hours before kickoff.
Fans approaching the stadium from Rivers Street/by walking up Stadium
Drive are encouraged to use the East Gate entrance. Fans with seats on
the West side can enter through the East gate and proceed to the West
side by circling the South end (where the videoboard is located).
There will be more narrow entries at a revamped West Gate (near the same
location as in the past, but smaller) as well as at the Upper West Gate
staircase that begins close to the Sofield Indoor Practice Facility and
descends toward the concourse ramp on the West side. The West Gate will
include lanes for App State students, West side ticket holders,
club/suite ticket holders and player/guest will call.
There is an area for ticket sales and will call at the northeast corner
of the stadium, near The Rock landmark, that opens at 11:30 a.m. Check
below for a map of stadium entrances for fans:
MOUNTAINEER WALK
Join the App State cheerleaders and the Marching Mountaineers for the
Mountaineer Walk that takes place 3 hours, 15 minutes before kickoff, or
at 12:15 p.m. for a 3:30 p.m. game.
The Mountaineer Walk will begin at Roess Dining Hall (aka Central),
continue along Rivers Street and proceed through the tunnel exit closest
to Stadium Drive.
Below is the map for the Mountaineer Walk route:
BEER SALES
Appalachian State will implement alcohol sales at Kidd Brewer Stadium
beginning with the home opener against East Tennessee State.
Beer will be available for purchase at 18 points of sale spread over six
different locations – three in the East concourse, two in the West
concourse and one in the South end zone behind the videoboard – and
served by Red Moon Catering and Reid's Catering. See concessions map by clicking HERE.
Service begins with the opening of main gates, two hours prior to kickoff, and ends at the completion of the third quarter.
All patrons will be required to produce valid identification, which will
be checked at the point of sale during each transaction.
Per state law, patrons 21 years of age or older will be permitted to
purchase a maximum of one alcoholic beverage per transaction with valid
identification.
Patrons will not be permitted to leave the stadium with alcohol purchased within the venue.
Law enforcement and contracted security staff will monitor the concourse
and seating areas for underage drinking, beverage pass-offs and
problematic patrons or situations.
Public service announcements about drinking responsibly will be shown on
the videoboard and announced via the stadium's public address system.
Policies and procedures will be subject to change and modification as the process evolves.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
Appalachian State's clear bag policy (full info here)
remains in effect for all ticketed events in Kidd Brewer Stadium.
Because of construction, there will be no merchandise stand, beer garden
or pregame radio show set near the stadium gates, but clear bags will
remain available for purchase.
The policy is intended to enhance patron safety and expedite entry into
Kidd Brewer Stadium by reducing the time required searching bags at
stadium gates. This policy aligns with other clear bag policies from
NCAA FBS institutions and the National Football League.
App State athletics encourages all fans to adhere to the
clear bag policy and leave unauthorized items at home or in their cars.
Items prohibited in Kidd Brewer Stadium include:
• outside alcoholic beverages
• coolers or containers
• artificial noisemakers
• pets (with the exception of service animals)
• umbrellas
• explosives and firearms
• folding chairs
• outside food and beverages.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL
On Saturday, before the home opener, App State Athletics will say thank
you to fans by handing out 10,000 free ice cream treats from Mars at
approximately 1:30 p.m. in various game day parking lots and at the
gates for fans entering the stadium early.
