This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,
northwest North Carolina and southwest Virginia.
.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.
There is a slight risk (level 2 of 5) of severe weather late this
afternoon and evening. The primary threat is damaging winds and hail.
An isolated tornado is also possible.
There is also a marginal risk (level 1 of 4) for excessive rainfall.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.
After a dry weekend, a slow moving storm system will bring rain
Monday and Tuesday. There is an elevated threat for excessive
rainfall along and south of the VA/NC border and a limited threat as
far north as highway 460.
