All flagging operations/lane closures will be suspended on 321 in Blowing Rock beginning today (Friday May 22) in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.
Work will continue along various areas located outside the travel lanes. All travel lanes will remain open through Tuesday, May 26th. NCDOT anticipates normal construction schedule to resume Wednesday morning, May 27th, weather permitting.
NCDOT also reminds motorist to SLOW DOWN and STAY ALERT from Tanger Outlets to US 321 Bus/US 221 due to the temporary lane configurations in this area. These temporary lane configurations will remain in place while construction operations continue along 321 and the new alignment of US 321 Bus/US 221.
