Even as temperatures took a tumble on Tuesday and Wednesday the High Country missed on breaking record lows. For Boone with a low of 21 on Tuesday the mark for November 12 was missed by 9 degrees. The record low is 12 degrees in 1894, followed by 14 in 1996, 1943, 1995 & 1943.
On Wednesday morning the low bottomed out at 19, missing the record of 8 degrees set on November 13, 1911. The next lowest record mark for the date is 15 set in 1995, 1950 & 1984
The lowest temperature for anytime in November is minus 7 set Nov 25, 1950.
