…FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING…
- WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible. - WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the
following counties, Alleghany NC, Ashe and Watauga. - WHEN…Through Wednesday morning.
- IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. - ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
- Periods of moderate to occasionally heavy rain will fall this
evening through Wednesday morning. Additional rainfall totals
are expected to range from 2 to locally 4 inches. The
greatest potential for any flooding will be near the crest of
