BOONE, N.C. — App State Football head coach Shawn Clark and his staff have signed 19 high school recruits from the Class of 2024, with one February signee joining the 18 from December's early period.
On Wednesday, running back Khamani Alexander officially became a member of the 2024 class. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Alexander, who is from Homestead, Fla., rushed for 2,669 yards with 17 touchdowns in 37 career games at Belen Jesuit Prep in Miami.
The class, with 10 offensive players and nine defensive players, includes four offensive linemen, three defensive linemen, three receivers, two safeties, two cornerbacks, one running back, one quarterback, one Star defender, one outside linebacker and one tight end. Nine members of the class are early enrollees who are already on campus to participate in spring practice, which begins Monday.
App State's 19-player class brings together talent from high schools in Georgia (nine signees), South Carolina (four), Florida (four), North Carolina and Ohio.
