Jefferson, N.C. – The Ashe County Sheriff's Office is asking for your
help. On the evening of June 9th, 2025, Heather Smith failed to
return home.
Heather began walking in the Frank Dillard/ HWY 163 area on
Sunday afternoon. She was seen around 7:30-8:00 p.m. and then
again at 9:00 p.m. at the Corner Market in Jefferson. If you believe
you have seen her, please contact Ashe 911 Dispatch immediately.

- Height: 5'1
- Weight: 100- 125lbs
- Last seen: Walking in the Jefferson area.
- Last known clothing: Baggy jeans with
holes, blue crop top, and black and white
vans. She has a yellow tattoo on her left
arm, hazel eyes with glasses, and dirty
blonde curly hair. - Reported Missing: Morning of Monday
