On July 22, 2013, Boone Police identified Julio Antonio Yanez, age 29, of Boone NC as a suspect in a recently reported breaking and entering. On July 16, 2013, Mr. Yanez allegedly entered a female’s apartment on Oak Street, believing that the apartment was that of an acquaintance. Mr. Yanez was instructed to leave the residence, but preceded to attempt to give the female resident a backrub. Mr. Yanez was again instructed to leave the residence and complied.
Mr. Yanez was arrested by Boone Police and taken before a Watauga County Magistrate where he was charged with one count of Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering and one count of Misdemeanor Assault on a Female. Mr. Yanez was assigned a court date of September 17, 2013 and released on a written promise to appear in court.
