Windy Conditions Lead To Early Thursday Morning Power Outages

Winds gusting over 40 mph lead to power outages in portions of the county on Thursday morning.

1,737 Blue Ridge Energy members were impacted at the height of the outages, which began at 2:15am and were totally restored at 3:21am, when a tree fell onto a line.

Areas affected were: Hwy 105, Broadstone Road, Baird’s Creek Road, and Laurel Fork Road areas.
