11:22am Saturday- If you have seen the facebook page then you are well aware of how fast the snow and sleet picked up around the High Country this morning. So many reports it was hard to keep up. Be sure to check out the Snow Pictures post for some pictures.

8:16am- report of “Sleeting in Zionville

8:06 am- report of “Sleet/Mixture of snow on Meat Camp”

8am- Facebook report of sleet in Valle Crucis

7am- Rain, some of which heavy in the county.

7am Saturday via Facebook- “Snowing on poplar grove rd south at 7 am”

11:36pm- twitter report “Snowing on Deck Hill, elevation 3500′.”

11pm- Updated reports from the overnight on Saturday morning

10:32pm – Facebook report of heavy wind gusts just below Blowing Rock on highway 321

10:14pm – Facebook report of rain and heavy wind in Vilas

9:59pm – Brad Panovich reports via twitter “Snowing even heavier now at Beech Mtn, cold air moving in flakes are getting fluffier”

9:39pm – getting more facebook reports of “Flurries on Castle Ford” road, and “Theres just a few flurries on campus” and “a few random flakes in Fleetwood”, “flurries in Matney”

9:25pm – few more reports of some flakes floating around in Boone

9:22pm via facebook from Shannon “few flurries in Deep Gap as well”

9:14pm via facebook Lynn reports “Random flakes in Sorrento” in Watauga County

9:09pm – Brad passes along via twitter that “Snow on Beech Mtn tonight might be the earliest ever, the records aren't all that great.”
