Watauga County Employee Assaulted, Crime Stoppers Seeks Information

High Country Crime Stoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

At approximately 12:50 PM on February 23, 2017, an employee with Watauga County was assaulted at the Optimist Park, located at 1012 State Farm Road.  The suspect in this incident, assaulted the employee after he confronted him over a violation in the park.  The suspect is described as a white male, standing 6’00” to 6’02”, thin built, possibly in his 20’s.  The suspect had a thin white dog (possibly a pit bull mix) in his possession.  He then entered a black Audi or BMW type sedan and left in an unknown direction.  The vehicle was described as having black aftermarket wheels with possibly having red brake calipers that could be seen through the wheel.
