11:50am – already some thunderstorms creating hail in Avery County

12noon – rumbles of thunder in Valle Crucis

12:25pm – report of dime size hail in Valle Crucis and heavy rain in Foscoe

12:30pm – reports of hail in Foscoe, and Banner Elk too. Pea size hail in Meat Camp

1:11pm – received one report of temps dropping from the 60s to the 40s in one section of Foscoe as the hail came through

3:40pm- reports of hail in Blowing Rock

4:44pm – report of hail in Foscoe again
