Sugar Grove Man Arrested After Posting Online Seeking Drugs & Prostitution

On Friday, July 29, 2016, the Boone Police Department closed yet another online criminal activity investigation. This case began when Investigators were monitoring known websites preferred by online child predators. A suspicious posting was located by an Investigator. To determine if this was criminal activity, a member of the Investigation’s Division responded to this posting.

After communication with the posting’s author, Investigators learned that the author was looking to trade a significant amount of narcotics for a sexual encounter with a female. The posting’s author was later identified as Donald Lee Tester. The Investigators arranged a meeting with the Tester at a local business at a specific date and time. When Tester arrived at this prearranged meeting location, he was met with Boone Police Investigators. Tester was arrested and the mentioned narcotics were located and seized.

Tester was arrested and charged with the listed crimes and then lodged in the Watauga County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond. He was scheduled to appear in Watauga County Superior Court on September, 9, 2016.

Tester was charged with the following crimes:
1 Count -Felony Trafficking in Opiates by Possession.
1 Count – Misdemeanor Solicit Prostitution.
