Last Updated on January 28, 2018 4:38 pm

The High Country is once again in line for single digit wind chills as January comes to a close.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 pm Monday until 10 am Tuesday. Snow is expected with local accumulations up to 3 inches and wind gusts 50 to 55 mph. NWS also says to plan on slippery road conditions and be prepared for reduced visibilities at times in snow and blowing snow.

Wind chills are forecast to be in the single digits from Monday night through Wednesday morning. NWS reminds the public that cold wind chills as low as 0 will cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
