A series of back-to-back-to-back-to-back accidents created quite the traffic snarl in Boone on Friday afternoon.
Boone Police and Boone Fire responded to four accidents all within a short distance of each other starting just before 2pm. At approximately 1:45 pm units responded to an accident with injuries on 105 near Enterprise Rent-A-Car. That accident lead to that portion of 105 being closed for a time to allow for clean up.
A short time after that units were dispatched to the area of The Standard on Blowing Rock Road.
At approximately 2:27 pm a second accident on Blowing Rock Road occurred near the mall entrance. And then at approximately 2:50 pm the last in the series of accidents happen, also on Blowing Rock Road, in the area of Taco Bell.
With the summer tourist season about to be in high gear for the High Country motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time in the area.
