Some of the coldest temperatures of the year are forecast to settle into the High Country starting on Tuesday. The National Weather Service (NWS) says that sub-zero wind chills are possible Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, as northwest winds could gust over 45 mph.

Low temperatures in the teens are forecast for Tuesday night. Snow returns on Tuesday with 1 to 3 inches possible for the High Country through late Tuesday night.

Temperatures stay bitterly cold for Wednesday with forecast highs only in the 20s before a short bump up to the 30s for Thursday and Friday.
