13 degrees with wind chill of -2 in Boone at 6am.

6:30am – no reported major travel issues. With overnight snow and morning temps in the teens some snow covered roads and black ice patches are possible.

6:50am from Watauga dispatch – Main roads looking decent this AM. Secondaries are covered and slick. Please use properly outfitted vehicle if you must be out.

From Facebook report – Roads from vilas to boone are covered. Slick in some parts with white outs. Around 6:45am
