According to the National Weather Service Blacksburg office clear skies in our area may allow viewing of the launch of a NASA rocket on Friday night. The launch is slated between 9 and 9:30pm December 14 from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.

Further information from http://www.nasa.gov/centers/wallops/news/shark.html states that the launch will not be shown live on the Internet nor will launch status updates be provided on social media once the countdown begins.
