Lane closures on 321 in Blowing Rock on N.Main St near Chetola and south of Green Park Inn. EXPECT DELAYS!
Tuesday Oct 18
Various construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with significant impacts to traffic. Lane closures with flagging will be active today from Tanger Outlets to Church St for paving in various driveways. Lane closures with flagging and a pilot truck are active just south of Green Park Inn for storm drain work. Due to increasing volumes of traffic for various High Country events this time of year including Fall foliage peaks over the next few days, motorists should expect SIGNIFICANT DELAYS!! Various other construction operations not impacting traffic also continue today. As always, motorists are urged to slow down and remain alert to construction crews and equipment working alongside the roadway and entering/exiting the roadway at various locations throughout the project.
3:43pm – Tractor trailer wreck on 421 at the bottom of Wilkes Mountain. Expect delays.
Wednesday Oct 19
11:05am – Accident at Baird's Creek and 105, expect delays.
4:22pm – Accident at 321 & Mast Gap Road. Expect lengthy delays in that area.

Friday Oct 21
Weather permitting, various construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with no impacts to traffic. Currently, there are no lane closures/flagging operations scheduled today or over the weekend. With increasing volumes of traffic for High Country events and Fall foliage peaking, motorists are urged to slow down and to remain alert to construction crews and equipment working alongside the roadway and entering/exiting the roadway at various locations throughout the project.
