Friday Oct 14

Construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with minimal impacts to traffic. Due to anticipated high volumes of traffic for several High Country events this weekend and with Fall foliage traffic volumes, no lane closures are scheduled today or this weekend. Intermittent flagging operations are currently scheduled this morning on Rocky Knob Rd and US 321 at Rocky Knob Rd for paving. These operations are necessary in order to assist vehicles entering/exiting Rocky Knob Rd and will have minimal impact to traffic traveling on US 321. Various other construction operations not impacting traffic are scheduled today as well. As always, motorists are urged to slow down and remain alert to construction crews working alongside the roadway and to construction vehicles entering/exiting the roadway at various locations throughout the project.
