Last Updated on August 26, 2016 10:27 am

Bicyclists taking part in the first ever CowBelle Classic will take to the roads on Saturday.

The CowBelle Classic is a women’s only cycling event hosted by the Boone Area Cyclists Club. Women of all ages and abilities are invited to ride in a non-competitive, social environment. By providing mentoring for new riders, their goal is to expand the community of women cyclists in the region. Fully supported ride – water/aid stations, mechanic available, sweeper car at the end, no rider left behind.

Riders will leave Old Cove Creek School at 9:00 am this Saturday. Motorists are urged to be aware of bikes on the roads in the Sugar Grove, Vilas, Zionville, Beaverdam and Bethel areas.

For more information about the ride, training rides, or questions about bikes, email cowbelleclassic@gmail.com or visit the ride information page.
