Last Updated on July 19, 2016 11:04 am

Governor Pat McCrory has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at State facilities to remain lowered at half-staff through sunset on Friday, July 22. This order honors the life and service of the Baton Rouge Police Department officers who were killed on July 17, 2016 in Baton Rouge, LA.

“This tragic incident involving the killing of police officers in Baton Rouge is another example of the danger our law enforcement officers face every day in communities across our nation. Ann and I are praying for the families of these fallen officers who were murdered while simply doing their job. Now more than ever it is time to show our support for those men and women in law enforcement who put their lives on the line every day to protect us,” said Governor McCrory.
